Horses should have a dental check at least once a year. It might not be your first choice for a treat for yourself, but if a horse has good teeth, he is more comfortable when ridden and he can enjoy doing what horses enjoy most, which is eating! Your donation could pay for routine dental treatment for a horse or pony.
Oh what fun it is to ride in a one horse open sleigh!
If you have little children who would love to ride in a sleigh and meet our friendly ponies, we will be offering sleigh rides on Saturday 6th December at Valley Farm at 2.30pm. Just £10 per child. Fee includes entry to the farm for participants and their parents, farm walks, self guided tours to meet the horses, alpacas, goats and other animals and a sleigh ride in our cute one pony open sleig. To book call 01728 746916.
Happy Christmas everyone. We are closed for Christmas Day and Boxing Day. We hope you have a lovely day whatever you are getting up to. The Ponies and animals will enjoy their days off and have fun opening their treats.
Horses without shoes need to have their hooves trimmed about every 6 weeks in order to keep them comfortable. Your donation would pay for a farrier to help keep their hooves in good condition. A lovely gift for a pony you love.
Your donation will pay for a farrier to replace a full set of four shoes. Horses need to be reshod about every 6 weeks even if they are not working very hard, because their feet still grow and change shape causing their shoes to become loose or uncomfortable.
