Activity Days

We offer various full and part day activities for children during school holidays for example:

Pony Club Rallies for Pony Club Members to work towards Pony Club Badges and Certificates.

Pony Days suitable for all Children aged 6 - 14 covering a variety of equestrian activities and different horse sports as well as hands on supervised pony care and stable management.

Themed days form time to time we run themed activities, such as have a go at horse agility, have a go at working equitation, or seasonal themes such as Christmas and Easter. Teenager themed days or Adult days because there is a pony-mad-kid hiding within so many of us!

BHS Pony Stars, Children's Challenge Awards covering a wide range of riding and pony care topics.

What happens? Most Activity Days run from 9.30am to 3.30pm.  Each day covers different topics so you can join us for as many days as you like and never get bored. A sample day is illustrated below. Please see our EVENTS AND BOOKING page for upcoming details or follow us on Facebook to never miss out on an event.

Who is it for? Activity Pony Days are perfect for individuals, schools or youth groups. Please note these days are for unaccompanied children.  Please drop off and collect at the allotted time.

Parents: Please ensure you have registered your child in reception and that your contact details are up to date before you leave. If you have driven a long way to drop off your child/children you will be pleased to know that we have a cafe and toilets on site.  If you do not want to drive all the way home before collection time, there are lots of interesting things to do locally in Wickham Market or Woodbridge. See our HOLIDAY LODGE or our CAMPING and CARAVANNING page for suggestions

During school term times we are able to run activity days for school groups of 8 - 32 children.  Please call or email to discuss your schools requirements.

Alternative Dates: Do you home school or do your children have different holidays from our scheduled activity days? No worries contact us, and we can run an activity day just for you and your friends covering the topics you would like to do. (minimum 6 in a group) If your school has a P.D. Day, make the most of it. Round up some friends and come and enjoy a Pony Day.

Accommodation: If you live too far away for your children to visit daily, it may be possible for the family to stay on site in our holiday lodge, or you could bring your own tent or caravan and stay on our campsite. We can then look after your children during the day, leaving you free to relax and enjoy your holiday!

At weekends we offer Pony Club, where children can stay for 3 hours in the morning.  Saturday afternoon we have a Young Equestrian's group for teenagers.

Gift vouchers can be given as presents for any of the activities we offer at the centre. An activity day makes great birthday or Christmas gift.

We are OFSTED registered so Childcare Vouchers can be used for all out activities.

Our activity days are based on the ideals of the Pony Club which are:

  • To encourage young people to ride and learn to enjoy all kinds of sport connected with horses.
  • To give instruction in riding and horsemastership and the proper care of animals
  • To promote the highest standards of sportsmanship, citizenship and loyalty to create strength of character and self discipline.
