Facilities

We have everything you need so that you are able to enjoy your chosen equestrian activity to the full, and so that family and friends accompanying you are able to watch or wait in comfort.

Non riding members of the family can enjoy meeting the other animals, peaceful walks round the farm, refreshments from vending machines or café, or they can watch your lessons from the side of the arena or from the comfort of the Camargue Café. Little ones may enjoy our play area.

RIDING ARENAS

Our smart purpose built Indoor Schools enable you to ride at any time and in any weather throughout the year. In addition we have several outdoor riding areas, including our 3 purpose built maneges, with specialist surface and water drainage which we received a grant from Sport England lottery funded Inspired Facilities Fund. We have a summer grass show jumping arena and outdoor grass dressage arenas suilable for riding or carriage driving.

FARM TRAILS

There are extensive tracks around the 80 acres of meadows through woodland and countryside. Dogs on leads are welcome.  We find visitors enjoy walking round the tracks just as much as the dogs and horse riders.  Our tracks allow us to hack out without having to make use of the roads.

LIVERY

We are able to offer full and working livery. We have well designed stable blocks, and a fully gated yard covered by CCTV for maximum security. Livery owners are able to make use of all our excellent facilities.  We are also able to loan horses to people who would like to have a horse/pony in livery with us. Livery horses enjoy living in large herds and are cared for as our own, aiming for a lifestyle that is as natural as possible. We also provide short tem livery for guests staying with us who choose to bring their horses to stay.

JUMPS

We have a range of show jumps including rustic jumps, coloured jumps, fillers, wings, and blocks.  Our working hunter/mini cross country course is enclosed and has rustic fences ranging from 25cms to 70cms. It is ideal for novice horses or riders. We also have some optional jumps on our hack routes, including the bank.

OTHER DISCIPLINES

Owing to the fact that we train our horses and riders for a huge number of different equestrian sports we have equipment available for these as well. We have a wide variety of western trail equipment, working equitation obstacles, horse agility equipment, horseball goals, archery equipment, mounted games equipment, and carriages and carriage driving cones and obstacles.

TACK

Some people prefer to ride with a western saddle or side saddle, or even a bareback pad and vaulting surcingle. It is possible to hire specialist tack for use during your riding lessons with us. It is also possible bring your own horse to try out western saddles or side-saddles before you commit to buying your own specialist tack. From time to time we have western saddles available for sale.

MOUNTING BLOCKS

We have mounting blocks in all our arenas, and also a centrally located extra large mounting platform, which enables assistants to help those with greater mobility needs to mount more comfortably.

STATIC HORSES and SIMULATORS

Our Racewood simulator is excellent for helping to improve riders fitness and stamina. Our Enlightened Equitation Equisimulator is a very useful teaching aid to help riders improve their balance, position and core strength for all types of riding.  We have a number of static barrel horses. These can be used to assist riders in learning essential skills for polo, polocrosse, horseball and vaulting as well as practicing mounting, dismounting and position in the saddle.

REFRESHMENTS

Help yourself to refreshments from our drinks and snack vending machines or take advantage of our catering facilities and enjoy something hot or cold from the the Camargue Café located at the entrance to the farm. From the Café you can observe the activity of the indoor school via our viewing gallery, or enjoy the outdoor picnic area overlooking the jumping area, while young children can let off steam on the play area.

TOILETS & SHOWERS

There are handwashing facilities, toilets and baby changing facilities available. These are wheelchair and buggy accessible. The shower block allows those going to work after visiting the stables to freshen up.

ACCOMMODATION

We have a campsite, complete with toilets, showers and electric hook ups, and also a self catering log cabin on site, so we are able to cater for visitors who do not live close to us, or for those who wish to spend a few days enjoying our beautiful surroundings while indulging in equestrian activities.  Accommodation for our children's residential holidays is in our little lodges. (These are located within an enclosed area adjacent to the proprietor's house).

PARKING

Free car park is easily accessible and is adequately large to accommodate coaches and visiting horse boxes.

Horsebox parking is free for visitors bringing their own horses who wish hire our facilities, or have lessons with us.

If you wish to make use of our parking, in order to explore the local lanes and bridleways, then we charge £5.00 per day per vehicle for parking. People often bring their bikes, as well as their own horses and use us as a base from which to explore the local area, before returning for refreshments in the café.

Parking for the holiday lodge is free and is located right outside the lodge.
